Faculty of Caffeine
Summary:
4.1
Faculty of Caffeine is a tiny café though from the outside it looks bigger. Altogether the café might not be sufficient to accommodate more than 15 people at one time, it has cool and nice ambience for those looking for less crowded café in the evening.
The café’s interior adopts black modern concept. It was quite dark though lighting is kinda giving the romantic feel. As we opened the menu, the list was smaller than I expected.
Since there are limited options available, we grab our choice for a cup of cappuccino and caffe latte. Coffee is done! Next is all about food. The café offers quite simple brunch menu. We picked a chocolate brownie with ice cream and a Nutella Cereal.
In 20 minutes, the coffee and Nutella cereal (one of the two items ordered) arrived at our table. Nutella cereal is a simple dessert that uses cornflakes, banana’s and with Nutella on top. The combination of fruit and cereal was exotic with Nutella. Since it was very tasty, we almost forgot about the chocolate brownie with ice cream. We thought the chef was preparing our dish but what was disappointing was the waiter came with a bill when we called upon them to enquiry about the ordered food. To our amazement, the chocolate brownie was not in the bill and the waiter was very much assured that we were not given the chocolate brownie order. We decided to just settle the bill and walk away since some customers were waiting for our table.
Though the café was cool and nice, the staff’s service level should be improved. The staff were so confident in taking the order without any note on their hand is the reason they missed orders from customers. This should be taken note by the management to avoid such mishap in future.
Though nothing much great, we are glad the food and coffee does not disappoint us. It was a good place to hang out in small group since the space is not convenient for larger groups. Overall, to indulge in nice Arabica speciality coffee and grabbing a quick brunch, Faculty of Caffeine will not disappoint anyone.
