Operating for more than 30 years, Nan Yang Coffee Shop is one of the oldest coffee shop in Segamat. It is not only a favorite with the locals of the area but is popular as well with the tourists who pay repeated visits to Segamat. The café is small that can accommodate less than 20 tables and has an old style décor. There is not much variety in the food menu but many of the dishes such as mee goreng, mee siam, nasi lemak and the toasted bread are very popular.
Among all the items that the coffee shop serves the most popular and the most in demand is their toasted bread. The bread is toasted to perfection and spreaded with butter and home-made kaya. Take it with any freshly-brew local coffee or tea, this makes for the tea-break snack that every local people is so familiar with.
